A fabulous 6Degrees Networking night was held last week at Mental Gallery in Mittagong. BSH jointly launched the Creative Industries Cluster Sector and Practitioner Report. Thanks to Jennifer Bott AO for her invaluable insights – suggesting the next steps be a venue audit of the developed Southern Highlands and Arts Tourism Strategy.

The project was overseen by a working group consisting of Rose Marin from Southern Tablelands Arts, Maisy Stapleton, a veteran creative industries practitioner, BSH’s Kate Ingham and Jan Campbell from WSC.
A special thank you to Rebecca Lambert, Founder of Freedom Jungle, for guiding the survey and report through to delivery. Also, a huge thank you to the Wingecarribee Shire Council, which funded the project through their Community Assistance Scheme.
Thanks to all the practitioners who participated in this survey – we appreciated your invaluable input.
And also a very special thank you to Bec Guest from The Fold, who took on making the directory live, searchable and within its own hub in The Fold’s architecture.
The final report, “Sector & Practitioner Research”, is worth a look – and is a starting point for developing the sector and guides some next steps.
Thanks also to Mental Gallery for hosting and Annemaree Dalziel for her Imperial Stockings exhibition!
